Fisherman’s Bastion Fortress in Budapest is the stuff fairytales and princess stories are made of. A small white castle, intricately carved, perched on a hill overlooking the Danube River and the myriad of rooftops beyond. On this gloomy, drizzly morning, Rochelle Fox and I went on a pilgrimage and found the place deserted. (I guess not many tourists wanted to be up and wandering in the rain at 6am – go figure). Here’s what it looks like when naught but a fox dressed in white graces its steps.
